Tweetback – Your Thoughts on the Wonder Woman Redesign

This evening, DC debuted a new costume change for Wonder Woman that will appear in tomorrow’s issue #600. The design is polarizing to say the least, I wanted to know what our listeners though. I asked for your thoughts both on my personal account along with the Between the Panels twitter account, and here are some of the responses:

@kschabooya said:

It’s not perfect, but it’s a neat sort of “modern girl” look. Still, girl needs to be in a skirt!

@flyboypatrick said:

Really… Really? I don’t want to be a prude, but WHY did they change it? Her costume is just as iconic as Batman and Superman…

Check out the rest of the responses after the jump!

Alice Eve to Join ‘X-Men: First Class’ as Emma Frost

The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Heat Vision’ blog is reporting this afternoon, that ‘She’s Out of My League’ star Alice Eve is in final negotiations to play Emma Frost in the upcoming ‘X-Men: First Class’ movie. You may remember that Eve was in the running for the main love interest of Steve Rogers in the Captain America movie earlier this year, but was passed on in favor of Hayley Atwell.

I’ve been a fan of Alice Eve since ‘She’s Out of My League’ and was really hoping that she’d grab the role of Peggy Carter in Captain America, but I’m more than happy with Eve playing Emma Frost. From a looks stand point, Eve nails the feel of Emma, and fans of ‘She’s Out of My League’ know that she can be just as cold as the White Queen can be. For those not familiar with Frost, she used to be a villain to the X-Men, until she turned over a new leaf and joined them where she is now a co-leader along with Cyclops.

‘X-Men: First Class’ is directed by Matthew Vaughn and stars James McAvoy as Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, and Benjamin Walker as Beast. The film is due to be out in early Summer of 2011.

Jeph Loeb to Oversee Marvel’s TV Projects

News broke early this morning that legendary comics writer Jeph Loeb is now in charge of overseeing all Marvel Comics related Television projects. Marvel has created a new division within the company focused entirely to Television projects, and Loeb is the Vice President of this brand new department.  Loeb is no stranger to the world of Television, having worked on ‘Smallville’ and ‘Heroes’ throughout the course of his career.

I’ve spoke at length about Loeb on this show, and I believe some of the best work he does is in the Television field. This is a smart play on Marvel’s part, and it will be interesting to see over the coming months what Marvel heroes are the first to get adapted to our screens whether it be through live-action projects, cartoon shows, or direct to DVD features.

Two New ‘The Walking Dead’ Production Photos

With production in full swing for the TV adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s ‘The Walking Dead’, we all knew it was just a matter of time before we started getting even more images from the set. These two images come directly from AMC’s The Walking Dead blog and are horrifically outstanding. With every little detail we get about the show, I become more and more excited for October. Enjoy this photo of Rick and check out the disgustingly wonderful zombie after the break.
