In a shocking move that I’m sure will have everyone talking, DC Comics has released a iPad/iPhone app on the iTunes App store! The basic infrastructure looks to be the same as the other Comixology based apps. I’m really shocked that this was released with pretty much no press at all, but what are we still talking about? Go get the app now!!
UPDATE: I’m looking at the app, there’s some pretty interesting content. Here’s some of the stuff I found while browsing:
- Superman #700 as free preview download
- A variety of prices, there are some comics priced at $0.99 and $1.99. Haven’t looked at a Comixology app in a while, so I can’t remember if this is a normal thing or not.
- The most shocking thing is this: Justice League Generation Lost #4 (That releases TODAY) is already out and is priced at $2.99
- Free ‘Origin’ downloads, explaining the origins of some of DC’s greatest characters.
- Tons of Vertigo and DC books.
