Director Matthew Vaughn continues to gather great talent for his upcoming X-Men movie. THR reports Jennifer Lawrence joins the ‘First Class’ cast as the blue shape-shifter Mystique.
Lawrence can currently be seen in 2010′s Winter’s Bone.
Mystique was played by Rebecca Romijn in the X-Men trilogy. I don’t know much about Ms. Lawrence, but it seems like she looks the part, albeit not blue. With the inclusion of names like James McAvoy, Alice Eve, Aaron Johnson, Nicolas Hoult and Caleb Landry Jones, this X-Men film should be very interesting.
X-Men: First Class will be released on June 3, 2011.
