According to Sir Michael Caine, the next Batman film will begin production next year. Caine was being interviewed by Digital Spy about his most recent film, Inception, when he briefly mentioned word about the next highly anticipated movie on the Caped Crusader.
Sir Michael, who plays Alfred Pennyworth in the recent batch of Batman movies, told DS “I think they’re going to do it in April, that’s about as much as I know.”
Inception is being released in the U.S. next friday, while “Batman 3” will see the light of day on July 20, 2012. You can view the full interview here.
