Robert Harras Becomes New EiC, VP of DC Comics

DC Comics announced today that former Marvel Editor-in-Chief, Robert Harras, is now the Editor-in-Chief and Vice President at DC Comics. Harras will be responsible for DC Comics, DC Universe, MAD Magazine and Vertigo, while working out of New York City. Harras was the EiC at Marvel from 1995-2000.

I don’t know much about Harras’ background, but I’m interested to see what he’ll bring to the company.

Unbelievable “The Walking Dead” Fan Made Credits

We’ve seen a lot of great fan made videos this year, but this one may take the prize. LOST Creator, Damon Lindelof, tweeted this AMAZING fan made video that offers a compelling and engaging open credits sequence for AMC’s The Walking Dead. Daniel Kanemoto is the mastermind behind the video and I encourage you to check it out below:

THE WALKING DEAD “Opening Titles” from Daniel Kanemoto on Vimeo.

As Mr. Lindelof said, “We are arriving at that unique moment in time where the term ‘fan-made’ becomes moot,” and I couldn’t agree anymore. This credits sequence could VERY easily be the opening sequence for the show. The level of professionalism here is mind blowing. Make sure you check out the rest of Daniel’s work!
