I remember earlier in the year when Dane and I were complaining about DC’s lack of interest in digital comics, but over the past several months DC has shown that they’re very serious about their digital comics service. Today, Jim Lee announced the DC Digital Comics Store, providing a browser based way of viewing and purchasing DC, Wildstorm and Vertigo titles. With the Digital Store, you can buy an issue of Batman and view it on your computer, your iPad or your iPhone without having to buy the issue over again. Once again, DC has teamed with Comixology for the interface of the site, so I think it’s fair to speculate that a Marvel and Image Digital Comic Store might not be far behind.
