One of the many giveaways this past weekend at Comic Con for the Marvel booth were “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Thor” concept art posters and they’re beautiful.

At Comic-Con last Saturday night, the entire ensemble cast of Marvel Studios’ “The Avengers” was finally confirmed. Here’s a list of the mind-blowing ensemble cast:

• Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury
• Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
• Clark Gregg as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson
• Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man
• Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America
• Chris Hemmsworth as Thor
• Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye
• Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk

The Avengers Assembled

This amazing cast will be directed by Geek God, Joss Whedon. For the past week or so it had been rumored that Ruffalo might play Bruce Banner, it was only with this announcement (and with an official endorsement from Robert Downey, Jr.) that we know for sure. In my opinion, Mark Ruffalo will do an outstanding job as Bruce Banner/Hulk. Much like everyone else, I would have liked to see Marvel Studios keep continuity and continue on with Edward Norton, but let’s just move on.

I can honestly say after being in the room with that full cast in attendance, my excitement for the film increased tenfold.

Needless to say, May 4, 2012 can’t come fast enough!

Warner Brothers release 4 teaser posters today for the upcoming ‘Green Lantern’ movie due out next year. Within these posters, we have our first looks at both Sinestro and Hector Hammond along with Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris. I took the liberty of combining the posters together to form the Lantern logos. Check them out below!

This evening, DC debuted a new costume change for Wonder Woman that will appear in tomorrow’s issue #600. The design is polarizing to say the least, I wanted to know what our listeners though. I asked for your thoughts both on my personal account along with the Between the Panels twitter account, and here are some of the responses:

I think it’s great. Does remind me a bit of 90s Superboy but so far I’m preferring it.

Personally, I’m a huge fan of the redesign. Yeah, the jacket feels a bit like the 90s style of costumes, but I’ve felt that Wonder Woman has needed some spicing up for quite some time now. There’s plenty more to read over at The Source blog, including some retcon changes to the character, but I’ll certainly be going out of my way to make sure I get Issue #600 when it hits local comic book stores tomorrow.
