Bootleg Avengers Trailer Leaks

First and foremost, a big thanks to AvengerSite for finding this, but a YouTube poster has uploaded the post-credits tag for Captain America, featuring the first trailer for The Avengers. Watch the footage below before it gets pulled, but there’s plenty to enjoy and get excited about. Next May, remember that there’s some assembly required.

Remember, there are spoilers for both Captain America and The Avengers below. You’ve been warned.

Also, much like AvengerSite, we don’t claim responsibility for posting the trailer in any capacity other than passing the footage along.

EDIT: The footage has been removed, but in it’s place we leave with this image of Red Lantern Dex-Starr, as drawn by Tiny Titans artist Art Baltazar.

Thor to Return in Summer 2013, But Branagh Won’t

With the success of Thor, we figured it was only a matter of time before we heard about the future of a sequel for the God of Thunder. Deadline Hollywood reported yesterday that Marvel Studios has decided to move forward with Thor 2. While Chris Hemsworth will return, director Kenneth Branagh won’t. Branagh left on ‘mutual and amicable’ terms and might serve the project in a producer role. The writers for the seqeul have yet to be named and after the news broke,  Ashley Miller posted on Twitter about his and Zack Stentz future with the project saying:

For the record, we know jack-diddly about what’s happening with the thunder god right now. And if we did, we wouldn’t be able to say.

While the future for the creative forces behind the first film are in flux, I’m quite glad to hear we’ll be spending more time with the Asgardians. 2013 already looks to be a busy year for Marvel Studios, Shane Black‘s Iron Man 3 will open on May 3, 2013.
