In a move rumored for years, DC Comics has officially announced seven comic book prequels to Alan Moore’s 1986 bestseller Watchmen. After the break we have art, the creative line-ups and reactions from the original creators, Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.

In the heat of the New 52 relaunch, we had the pleasure of sitting down with writer Sterling Gates to chat for over a hour about his work. From Hawk & Dove to Captain Victory, there’s plenty of great stories and insights into Gates’ career. Also, we discuss a little book we enjoyed called Supergirl. Don’t miss this one folks!

When writer Brandon Jerwa started tweeting about an upcoming Kickstarter project, I knew that I wanted to help pledge to the cause. Yet, I had no idea the scale and scope of the project. The page for Brandon’s project, Untold Tales of the Comic Industry, launched yesterday and revealed some details about the upcoming documentary. The film looks to the “genesis of our [creators] shared love of comics, and explore the inspirations that keep creators running. You’ll learn what these creators love about the industry today, and what they hope to see improved for the industry’s survival tomorrow.”

Check out some footage from the film below and see what comic creators like Ben Templesmith, Erik Larson, Matthew Sturges, and Sterling Gates have to say about how comics have influenced their lives, but importantly visit the page and pledge some money towards an amazing project.
