William and Dane sit down to chat with comic writer Brandon Jerwa to discuss his Kickstarter project: Untold Tales of the Comic Industry. Jerwa is directing a documentary about the comic industry that features writers, illustrators, distributors, Hollywood storytellers, and fans around the world of the medium, all while showing their the love of comics, how they feel about the industry, and what they hope to see in the future.

When writer Brandon Jerwa started tweeting about an upcoming Kickstarter project, I knew that I wanted to help pledge to the cause. Yet, I had no idea the scale and scope of the project. The page for Brandon’s project, Untold Tales of the Comic Industry, launched yesterday and revealed some details about the upcoming documentary. The film looks to the “genesis of our [creators] shared love of comics, and explore the inspirations that keep creators running. You’ll learn what these creators love about the industry today, and what they hope to see improved for the industry’s survival tomorrow.”

Check out some footage from the film below and see what comic creators like Ben Templesmith, Erik Larson, Matthew Sturges, and Sterling Gates have to say about how comics have influenced their lives, but importantly visit the page and pledge some money towards an amazing project.
