So, I’m sure those of us who have combed over the entire Andrew Garfield Spidey suit in the new image that was released have noticed the shiny silver disc-like objects on his wrists. This led to speculation all over the web that the reboot will provide Peter Parker with webshooters instead of it being an organic addition to his superhuman abilities, a creation of the Tobey McGuire trilogy.

Sony Pictures just released the first official photo of Andrew Garfield in his brand new Spider-Man costume. Side by side comparisons with Tobey Maguire’s costume from the previous trilogy show a more intricate design, rubbery material, an inset logo and darker colors for Garfield’s Spider-Man. My first reaction while favorable, was that it looks as if Nike had designed a Spider-Man costume. As the released photo shows Garfield’s Peter Parker de-masked, I am quite curious to see the mask that goes with this new costume design. What are your thoughts on Garfield as Spider-Man and the new costume? Sound off in the comments below.
