What’s going to take the place of Smallville?!  Now, I didn’t really think too highly of this Amazonian reboot, but it did show some sort of potential.  And, it could’ve catered to the fans who are just looking for a superhero tv show.  But alas, like a neglected baby, the Wonder Woman television series didn’t get picked up.  The Hollywood Reporter has collected the latest info on what we will and won’t be seeing on NBC next fall.  There was a lot of buzz going around about this potential series, but it seems as though a lot of it was more on the mediocre-to-negative side.  And with the peacock network being the final hope for David E. Kelleys’ interpretation on the warrior princess (her… not her), I have little hope that they can shop the pilot around to other networks and expect a positive outcome.  I guess my dreams of Adrianne Palicki and Elizabeth Hurley battling it out will have to be postponed…

By the way, is there any way we can get our pupils on that pilot? We got to see Aquaman.

So far, Elizabeth Hurley, Tracey Thoms and Cary Elwes have also been cast for the show.  Yes, these three get to admire (or pick on) Wonder Woman on a daily basis.  Joy.

Deadline reports say that Frank Darabont, executive producer of The Walking Dead, has let go of the entire writing staff of the hit series.  Also, it is said that Frank is not looking to replace the bunch, and instead the show will deal with freelancers for the next season.  Darabont himself has written two of the six episodes from season one, while co-writing and re-writing the remaining four.  Although ditching a writing team for freelancers has been done before (the article notes the Starz/BBC‘s Torchwood series), going from the manageable six episode season to thirteen in season two may not be as easy as Frank may think.  Deadline says,

“Sources tell me that no final decision has been made yet with all options open, including using some combination of a writing staff/freelances.”

Of course, I believe that it is a bold decision that most likely wasn’t made by Mr. Darabont alone.  But, I’m pretty sure the last thing the writers of the show thought after seeing the tremendous praise and ratings for The Walking Dead was that they’d be hunting for new jobs before season’s end.

AMC has provided us with preview pictures and the official description for tonight’s fourth episode of “The Walking Dead” titled “Vatos.’ The full gallery and official description are after the jump for those that want to avoid spoilers.

Deadline Hollywood is reporting tonight that the first major Television project that Jeph Loeb will oversee and develop for Marvel is none other than the Incredible Hulk. The show will air on ABC and will be the second time the Hulk has graced the small screen. The series will be a live-action adaptation and does not have a head writer. Deadline also reported that Marvel is looking to adapt Cloak & Dagger for ABC Family. We’ll have more on this as it develops, but what are your initial reactions to this news?
